Oslo's forgotten fair
More than 100 years ago, Christiania, as Oslo was called back then, had its own fair called Christiania Tivoli. Christiania Tivoli was located in Pipervika, an area that stretched from Stortingsgata to the Kingenberg cinema and in front of the City Hall. The entrance gate and the main building of the fair were located exactly where the conference center is today.
In contrast to Copenhagen's Tivoli, the grounds of Christiania Tivoli were relatively small. Still, the fair had restaurants, dance venues, theatre stages and a park with walking trails and pavilions. This popular entertainment area had its heydays in the 1890's.
Stortingsgata
Our logo and profile tell us about our good location with the street address Stortingsgata 20. The street is a significant central business district and area for entertainment, as well as a main artery for public transport.
We have taken inspiration from Chritiania Tivoli's geographical History and architecture, which we implemented in our new logo. The pictogram is a minimalist depiction of the beautiful facade of the entrance gate of the fair.
Our conference center
The conference center is on the top floors, 6th and 7th floor. The rest of the building consists of a restaurant and office premises.

If you are long-term in need of accommodation, we recommend contacting Hotel Christiania Teater directly. The hotel is located on the same street as Stortingsgata Kurs & Konferanse, 5 min walk from door to door.
